This all-day urban retreat is dedicated to celebrating menopause and the years that follow. Join Jennifer Helland, Pat Harada Linfoot, YuMee Chung, Maya Goldenberg and Angela Warburton as they weave together their expertise and passion for women’s health to offer you an abundant day of education and self-care. Gain confidence, knowledge and new tools to support the physical, mental and emotional changes that happen as you journey through menopause and beyond.
The day will include:
- Yoga and Holistic Nutrition with Jennifer Helland, CNP
Jennifer will be teaching a flowing yoga practice designed to increase strength and build resiliency in our ability to balance, stabilize and use the full range of our joint mobility. It will also be a movement celebration of who we are in the bodies we have right now. As a Holistic Nutritionist, Jennifer will focus on balancing blood S\sugar levels to support menopausal symptoms, as well as, nutritional and supplementation support for the body as it wisens.
- Meditation with Pat Harada Linfoot
With menopause comes changes to the physical, emotional and mental bodies. A daily meditation practice is an asset to staying open and non-judgmental while moving towards wise womanhood. “We learn to be intimate with our bodies, breath, thoughts and emotions. Meditation is being rather than doing; it is a process of learning to stay, learning to let go and learning to start over.”
- Tune-Up® Ball Massage and Self-Care with YuMee Chung
YuMee is a certified Tune-Up® Ball instructor. Learn simple and effective self-massage and breathing techniques designed to alleviate aches and pains, cool-out the nervous system, and pave the way for better sleep. Self-care is health care.
- Skin and Body Care Lesson with Maya Goldenberg, Eco-Beauty Specialist
Maya has been working in the skincare industry for over 15 years. She will be giving a “skin ritual” lesson specific to menopause and ageing skin. Maya will be using products from her all-natural, eco-friendly, non-toxic, plant-based skincare line KAVANA.
- Lunch and Learn with Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner Angela Warburton, R.TCMP, R. Ac.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, menopause is called “the second spring.” It is a time of rebirth when a women lets go of old ways of being and begins to step into her wisdom, power and personal voice she has been cultivating for many years. It is the beginning of the journey towards the much respected and powerful wise woman.
