Johanna Lankin

Johanna is an enthusiastic educator who has been teaching high school Drama since 2005, and instructing yoga and Pilates since 2017.  She applies her expertise in differentiated instruction and creative engagement to lead inclusive, adventurous and fun classes designed for students of all abilities and experience levels. She believes in creating community through shared experiences in safe spaces.

Johanna is a graduate of Muse Movement’s contemporary Pilates teacher training and Yoga Space’s illustrious 200 hour yoga teacher training. She also holds teacher certifications in Barre, Restorative Yoga, Prenatal Yoga and is a Trauma Informed teacher. As a lifelong learner, Johanna continues to study and explore various types of movement and is currently developing teacher training workshops drawing on her extensive background in education to teach improvisation skills and practical pedagogy to movement teachers and fitness instructors.

In her classes you can expect somatic exploration and a fusion of movement modalities including Yoga and Pilates with inspiration from Barre, functional movement and strength building. Her classes involve creative core work,  energetic flows fluidly linked to carefully curated (and occasionally loud) music, a playful, experimental approach toward learning and moving, and probably some big, crazy laughs.
