Kirsten’s classes are filled with kindness, warmth, and imagery, offering a hybrid of flowing sequences and strength-building, with attention to safe alignment and breath. Kirsten sees yoga as a key player in restoring and maintaining health and helping us to be our most compassionate selves. Sharing the gifts of yoga with her students and supporting them on their journey is a privilege that she treasures.
Kirsten has been practicing yoga regularly since 2008, and in 2017, she began the process of becoming a yoga teacher, completing a variety of Octopus Garden’s teacher-training programs. She is grateful to each and every one of her yoga teachers, past and present, for their inspiration and guidance.
Kirsten is also a former ballet dancer and teacher of dance, graduating from the 3-year teacher-training program at Canada’s National Ballet School. Movement exploration continues to be dear to her heart, taking different forms over the years, with their own unique intentions and paths. Now, she is honoured to serve her yoga students as they explore their own potential through movement and self-inquiry.
