The very last of the ethical guidelines in Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras is surrender. This is scary. This is big. This is real. When we let go of the illusion that we can (or need) to control our lives, we find the only effective way to live well.
In this retreat, we’ll open to our personal and as yet unknown journey through this big universe using the routes of body, breath, mind. Come prepared to work hard but also to start to find ways past unhelpful barriers.
Inner City, Inner Psyche
with Pat Harada Linfoot, Morgan Cowie, and Michael Alex — Saturday, May 6th
On Saturday, May 6th, we will gather as a group of intentional practitioners to have an urban retreat – right here at Octopus Garden. Instead of getting away, you’re clearing away the detritus that separates us from the richness available in each moment in a mindful and joyous way. When we sit, we’ll sit. When we move, we’ll move. When we eat, we’ll eat! We’ll make space to just be with it all as we build our ability to be present in a full, compassionate and curious way.
Please note: There are only a few spots left for the week of June 18th-25th
This retreat will be featured in the March issue of Yoga Journal so please don’t wait to sign up as it is going to fill very quickly!
If lush rolling hills, medieval towns, and ancient olive estates are your glass of vino, then have we got a retreat for you!
Located in Umbria, the heartland of Italy, our retreat centre is no ordinary place. Set high on a ridge, the 12th century property features panoramic views, a Moorish-style spa, ecological swimming pool, ample gardens, terraced lawns and woods, ideal for afternoon reveries. The kitchen will seduce you with the simple pleasures of Italian cuisine. Trust us, once you experience la dolce vita, you’ll never want to leave.
